"Thank You, We Appreciate You" – Omni Honors Our Veterans

Veterans Day is on Tuesday, November 11.  On this day all of us at Omni Financial® join the country in salute those who have served or who are currently serving in the United States military.
Omni Financial® was founded 45 years ago by a World War II veteran and we are staffed by former members and advocates of the military. We honor the significance of this day and to acknowledge all our veterans and the sacrifices they have made.

Veterans Day Ideas

If you are looking for meaningful ways to commemorate Veterans Day with your family or in your community, here are some ideas to get you started:
Attend a parade – Many veterans participate in Veterans Day parades.  If your family is not already taking part in a parade, you can still show your support from the sidelines and cheer on your neighborhood heroes.
Encourage classroom learning – Connect with your local school or your child’s teacher and encourage them to conduct a lesson about the importance of Veterans Day.  Visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs website for a free Teachers Guide. The website also has information on the Take a Veteran to School program and a poster gallery.
Bring donations to a veterans’ hospital – Many VA hospitals and health centers will accept donations of items like telephone cards, Canteen Books, magazines, stamps, personal care products, and baked goods. Veterans Day would be a wonderful time to visit with the patients and share your donations. Check with the hospital or health center about donation guidelines or for special items they might need.
Have a care package packing party – Collect donations to be sent to soldiers overseas.  Operation Gratitude is an organization that sends over 100,000 care packages throughout the world. Here are some of their tips for organizing a collection drive and the shipment address.
Omni is proud to salute our veterans. Thank you, we appreciate you.
